Living in Perth, you accept that the east coast is a good 4 hour flight away and several hundred dollars. What you don’t accept is getting to Perth airport at 4pm on Sunday afternoon only to arrive in Canberra at 3pm Monday afternoon, sans luggage.

Feeling increasingly hypocritical about talking to young people about increasing school attendance, I returned to Perth after our NT stint to sit my final Uni exams after a Semester of non-attendance.

Darwin - the Big Smoke, and “Snobs from the City”(0)

I had mixed emotions about rolling into Darwin – sadness that our amazing NT roadtrip was coming to and end and our eNTourage was dispersing, and relief that I didn’t have to endure another 1500kms of questionable male hygiene and A.Raf’s early morning flatulence.

In between Tennant Creek and Katherine, we stopped overnight in Mataranka, which enabled us to get up early the next morning and head to the beautiful community of Jilkminggan, which is located on the tribal lands of the Mangarrayi people, about 130km south east of Katherine.
